I am a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio. I graduated Tri-C in Parma OH IN 2009. I'm a wife, mother, vet tech, business coach for RVTs and serial business owner.
I have 4 dogs, 6 cats, 1 bird, a frog,. snake and a bearded dragon, and have grown up caring for animals since I was little.
I am an advocate for animals, technicians and change in the veterinary field as a whole. My goal is to make others think outside the box, and challenge old ways of thinking by trailblazing new ways of doing things in my life and in my businesses.
Being a Pet Consultant/strategist, I discuss a vast array of information. everything from routine care, surgical procedures, tech questions and more. Bringing digital pet care courses is something new I have introduced, to make care accessible even though many changes have occurred since the beginning of 2020. Having an RVT helping educate pet parents makes them feel confident they are doing their best to help their pets.

I was a traditionally employed small animal practitioner for 20 years. Then I practiced house calls as a solo practitioner for 10 years. I sold my practice when I moved to a new state. What to do? I discuss alternate career options, side gigs, pursuing your passions, creative influences that can and did turn into a book, teaching, a blog and and a career as an artist, as well as a volunteer for pets of families in homeless shelters as well as pet rescue foundations. Think about what you will do post-vet med and maybe my story can help you achieve your dreams and goals.

I am licensed as a family medicine doctor – also known as a primary care provider (PCP) or a general practitioner (GP). Training in primary care entails knowing about a variety of different health conditions affecting different parts of the body and mind.
While the medical industry expects specialization, I continue to stay multi-passionate and versatile, because I believe that the body is inter-connected; not compartmentalized. My healing philosophy seeks to treat the whole person.
As a graduate of one of the only few accredited naturopathic medical schools in the world, furthermore, I know much more about nutrition, supplements, botanicals (herbs), functional medicine, orthomolecular medicine, lifestyle counseling, bodywork, and mental health than your average doc.
I’m also an expert in psychedelic medicine and an Oregon-licensed psilocybin facilitator. I train other facilitators internationally and advocate for the normalization and legalization of entheogens. In fact, I’m so committed to the cause of making medicines like psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine accessible to people that I founded a nonprofit organization called Right to Heal. (I think the name says it all.)

I graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 and University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, I completed a fellowship in Emergency and Critical Care and worked at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit. I am also a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist and an active volunteer at the MSPCA animal shelter.
I am also the inventor of the widely-used Calm & Cozy Cat Wrap, a patented swaddle designed to make vet visits easier for cats.
When I’m not working, I am busy with my husband, three kids, our cat, and new puppy.
